Pretty cool. I have a new Nomadio on the way. Can't wait to try it out this weekend and see how it compares to my other high end radio.

I came in 4th LOL or is that 3rd place looser. Felt good to be back on the track.

BTW: While at Stockton we saw 2.4 GHz systems "Loose Bind" in HARD hits.
This happened to both brands of 2.4 GHz systems even our V2 and the new race receiver from the other brand. Steve Tsuruda had it happen to him with the other brand that had the new RX and Jim Walls had it happen with Nomadio with V2. BOTH receivers needed either 3 seconds to cycle (Nomadio) or needed to be manually shut down and re-started (the other brand) Either way in that type of racing youíre hosed.

We had Frank one of our EEs at the race, he went back to HQ where he and the other EEs worked all weekend for a solution. They found it, if the RX is hit hard and looses bind the Nomadio V2 will cycle the bind in 1/7 to 1/2 a second. Less time then it takes to yell for help! hehehehe Thus the problem is solved. Best of all itís a free download away for Nomadio users; it will be posted in 2.1.2 shortly. He also found how to fix this in the other brand receiver.

We are happy to share this safety feature breakthrough with the other brand.

I have seen what you have just posted and it was with both brands as well. I have always been lucky with my Spektum and never had this happen. I'm sure it could though. Cool that you have a fix already in the works. This is one of the benefits I see with this radio that I don't see with others.

Ok my new Nomadio radio showed up today. I set it all up and registered it so I can get the V2 tranceiver. My radio has the V1 at this time but I already bought a V2 and with the one Nomadio sends me I will be good to go.

I booted the software and hooked my radio up to the computer when I go to the pointed and was promted to do so. Have all the downloads in the radio and the V1 transceiver updated as well. After I race this Saturday I will post a full report. I expect it to work great. Only thing I need to do it to get use to the new radio feel and just overall learning all the buttons. No different than when I learn any other new radio.

As for the looks I don't really think that my plastic is all that bad. The radio is a little different but I can live with that and will do a few things to make it feel better to me. I did wrap the grip and have a new steering wheel going to be on before I race this weekend. So far I'm very happy. It will take me a little time to learn the software program and what all I can do with it but thats cool and with time I will be able to do alot more than I could with any of my other radios. It will be worth it in the long run I will post more after Saturdays racing.

WYD we have the fix for the SPLAT BUG in BETA if you want to try it put this URL in your RC DESK TOP UNDER CONNECTIONS and Run the update on both the TX and RX. http://nomadio.net/software/beta

It has the super fast bind and a few other speedy things. It also has loads more splash screens.

Will do. Thanks. I do have one question. Right now my radio is setup on model 1. I really would rather have my radio show my car name instead of the 1 if at all possible. Now when I load up my computer program I have it say JRXS but is it possible to have the radio show this when I turn it on?

Ok I was messing around with my radio tonight and some of the programming. Mainly the splash screen part and one of the wave files. My radio now when turned on shows a picture of DarthVader and the new Wave file is Darth Vader breathing. Can't wait to hit the track tommorrow and turn this radio on in front of everyone as it will draw a ton of attention now thats for sure. Never thought this radio was so wild but all I can say is WOW.

Hell with the looks of this radio. If it works well at the races for me plus I can program all the wild stuff like I can I'm going to be very happy. I have the radio now setup in the car and ready to race tommorrow. All updated are in the radio and transceiver. More tommorrow after the races.

Well raced with the Nomadio radio today. It worked flawless from start to finish. Took me about 1.2 battery pack to get use to the radio and then it was just like having my normal radio. I had no problems at all today. Everything worked perfectly. Everyone got a kick out of my Darth Vader setup on the radio.

Next time I might mess with the temp sensor on my electric motor to see what happens and just to see how it works.

I must say if the radio continues to perform like this I will be very happy. A great first day on the radio and I suspect it will get better the more I use and become comfortable with it. Dispite the looks and price it is a great radio and has way more positive features than negative stuff. Very happy I made the purchase.
