Would inserting a really funny picture of the guy who won the Stock Sedan race help break up the animosity?

Somebody mentioned no techning of motors or a lack thereof. You guys would hate oval.....2 weeks ago at the Oval Masters I had 4 of my Stocks torn down in 5 rounds of racing.

They even tore mine down for TQ-ing the practice qualifer the night before the heats started. LOL

Speaking of Stock motors, anybody have any new info on the Trinity C27 motor? I heard the can looks similar to a Monster/Epic Roar but had a new arm. Is this going to be a high RPM motor or are they going back to a Torque motor ?

Cypress You are right on about the transponder thing. i was always told that if your PT don't count oh well. I think the problem here is that Jon was given laps then not given laps over the course of the week. IMOP he or anybody should never been given a lap for a pt problem. Now like Ernie P said Jon should have changed the transponder.

also if you read the instuctions on these PT it says that the pt should have a clear line of site to the loop and should not be mounted directly on graphite.

Perhaps a placement problem within the vehicle, or a power delivery issue due to heavy amp draw( it really only happened in Mod cars)? Why should scoring be responsible for this? The problem started when concessions were made the first time for a non-counting car. It never should've been done in the first place.
House transponders aren't/weren't any better and they were the responsibility of the race director.

However, that was not the issue. The issue was the inconsistency in the application of previous precedents. Why give a guy laps in the previous rounds but not in the last round robbing him of an A-main slot?

My proposal for next year was pretty simple: If your car doesn't count, you need to fix it, as it is a problem with your equipment.

Don't get me wrong, Jon is a friend of mine, and I feel he kinda got screwed. But Dave is a friend of mine too, and that's why I was glad I wasn't invited to join in the decision making process. I just feel that if they had never adjusted anyone's lap total due to personal TP malfunction, there wouldn't have been any controversy at all.

Maybe next year have a part of the track removed for TC so it is a little more open and then put back in place for the 1/12 races.
Look at pictures from the Team Orion Speedweeks race. The track was very flowing yet still technical and almost no boards to break things on with all the dots. Plus it looks like it would be massive fun even with a 12th scale.
