Default MuchMore Cell Master

Hi there,

We haven't approach single driver to sponsor them except Hara, Marc and surikarn. most of our US drivers knows the benefits of Cell Master.

if you like to know why this is the charger for serious racer. please check the Cell master thread.

Let's see what this can of worms will do...

CE is going to be the shiznit in oval b/c they are slower to adapt to the technology changes compared to the tc and off-road guys.

Order up: 1 can of worms

Can't speak about the Pitbull but I have the Much More Cell Master and the Pulsar 2.

Both are excellent but I'll list the pros of each as I see them:

Pulsar 2
Has never false peaked (with the Cell Master I have to lock it out. I worry that one day I'll put a charged pack on and roast it!)
Very easy to use
Quieter running (cell master fans make a lot of noise so if I ever have to use a charger at home I use the LRP).

Cell Master
Has step charge (I think this gives better performance)
Measures resistance of packs on discharge
Records peak voltage on charge . The pulsar does not have these features.

If I was to only have one charger and I had the Much More I would not be unhappy at all. However, having had both I'd have to say I'd take the Pulsar 2. It's just so totally fool proof and reliable and I trust it completely.

Honestly though, I think if you had any of the 3 (Pulsar, Pitbull or Cell Master) you'd be pretty happy with it.

Hope this has been helpful,
Jason

For the pit bull x3 it says

"Do Not charge higher voltage than your power supply voltage"

"The pit bull cannot do this and will result in a blown fuse"

coz my PS is only 12.5v and sometimes i charge my 8cell packs it sometimes exceed the 12.5v of my PS, but my muchmore just warns me and stops charging....

anyone here blown a fuse having the output voltage greater than the input voltage?
is this fuse easy to change?

also can the X3 change the charge rate "on the fly"?

On the specs it says the pitbull can handle 4-8 cells so you should be alright for charging 8 cells,a 12 volt P/S is plenty for the X-3.How many amps can your P/S handle that sounds like the problem,no, you can't change the charge rate on the fly like on the GFX,but you can charge in step mode this will change the rates automatically to your preset values.

hi, what are the fuse rating?

Reason i ask is because i bought mine second hand, and i have 1 is 10Amps (the one closest to the front) and the other is 30amp (the fuse closer to the rear)

Also what version pit bull x3 is everyone on? mine says 3.02....
