Need Help With a Backwards Chameleon 2!!!
Ran into a strange one!! I have a C2 that I put a new arm in that now will only run backwards!!! Any ideas? I have torn it down 3 times and still the same. I'm not a motor builder but I have been tuning for a while and can't figure out how a locked endbell motor is spinning backwards....Help!!!!

I'm not sure of all the proper names for it, but I think it's a hemi-wound arm. So you just have to solder it in backwards.
|
Either your wires are soldered on backward, or your endbell is on backward. :)
|
I think its hemi wound, which runs backwards, some of the really early C2's were hemi winds, and also the C1's, so if u solder it backwards (- on +) and so on, it should work fine

if you look just below the comm you will see how the wire goes over or loops (cross over) ..you prabably got the wrong arm ....or chad built this one and he lost it and it got shipped out..lucky you , you sir are a cheater ..lol.... send it back for replacement ... |
I knew that would come up sooner or later

You have an older hemi type can. You have to hook it up backwards now that you have a new "regular" arm. Or I'll trade you a regular can for your "reversed" one :sneaky:
Simple as that. No worries. |
Just wire is backwards.....of it bothers you that much, swap the endbell hardware around, some it looks right...
It will run just fine either way....... Later EddieO |
yah , I bought a new chameleon and the same thing happened , but mine would not run so I stopped buying chameleons try reedies 19 turns no problem
|
Just contact Trinity and they will take care of you. Tell them not to send you my 19 turns. :sneaky: :ha: :)
