Default Anyone know of a good traction compound that doesnt stink?

What is avlable that doesnt smell like bengay? we are planning on starting up some winter racing in a roller rink and dont want to stink all the skaters off. i think the bengay smell may not go over well. what have you tried or used in the past that doesnt really sink into carpet that smells?

I use TQ blue... since paragon is outlawed this seams to be the "dope of choice". I know Trinity also makes a compound that isnt supose to smell, but i don't know how effective it is, and what its like. tq blue has a light smell to it...but its not bad at all...

Yeah, Parsgon is not allowed at our track, so we use Racer's Choice TQ (orange). It smells like citrus, not wintergreen.

We used to use Zip Grip Free. It doesn't have the wintergreen in it. It works prety well. Of course, I've always heard if it doesn't stink, it isn't any good.

I've come across the word "wintergreen" many times in different places, but what is it actually?

Why is Paragon outlawed? Just curious.

Guess thats the Dutch 'sense' of humor.

Be sure you have real strong carpet
It's the only compound I ever used so I don't have a good comparison with other compounds but think it works great.

It's methyl salicylate, AKA oil of wintergreen. It's what gives some tire sauces that Ben-Gay smell.

it would be nice to have stuff in the pits that doesnt end up giving you a headache. the fumes from some of that stuff cant be good for a person.

Copy from the Corally site

TC-2 'jack the Gripper'
gives great traction without the
unwelcome odours and smells
common with other traction
compounds. This tire traction also
works extremely well on outdoor
tracks

TC-2 'Jack the Gripper' (150ml) Part# 13779
