discharging or charging although r different process,i believe that they r still related...

jus my personal views...
are you saying that you would rather have a battery that efficiently takes in a charge than one that efficiently discharges the current? sorry to sound annoying but i would rather have the latter one.

they (IR during charge and discharge) appear to be related as a bad pack will have a higher IR (charge and discharge) than a good one. but i still prefer to know my IR during discharge than on the charge phase.

Wonder, if anyone can suggest settings for 16X5V6, cycling a pack of SANYO 3000HV's. I might used wrong settings and have my batteries cooked.

Anyone out there.

wat i am saying that the IR should be veri similiar whether it is charging or discharging.
to say i prefer which 1 is hard to do so,bcos the batt will need 2 have a low IR for both in order to be good.u wan a batt with high IR during charging?...tat way it probably wun have much punch/run-time...hmmm...
not trying 2 pick a quarrel here or anything, jus some personal thoughts...we r all here for the enjoyment of the sport

Check out www.smc-racing.com They recommend 0.07 peak threshold (11.6mv/cell), 6A charge rate, and 30A discharge cut-off at 5.4V (0.9v/cell). But you cannot follow that discharge parameter since the CDC 6/B (same as Integy 16x5v6) has a max discharge of 20A and fixed cut off at 0.8v/cell

nope, they are different. cycle your packs and record the IR after the charge and after the discharge. they are far from each other....peace bro

Diff between 16x5BL and 16x5 ver. 6

I just got a 16x5BL, I am curious as to what the major diffs are between the 16x5BL and 16x5Ver. 6 are if any. Thought I was getting the 16x5 Ver. 6 but it was the 16x5BL. Just curious before I open it and use, incase I want to return it and get the 16x5 ver. 6

Thanks

I had the 16x5..sold it to get the 16x5 V6.0..
I highly recommend you get the V6.0 you will not regret it. Has lots of features. IR readings, single cell matching, torpedo function, 9 memory settings, You can keep in memory the type of packs your charging, 3000, 2400, 4cell, 6cell, 8cell etc. it retains all your charge settings so you don't have to change it. V6.0 also has selectable ring tones, and you can turn trickle off.
so...place that order for V6.0
