Itīs an UK based forum maybe you could ask there at the touring car or Tamiya section regarding a setup for the T27 tires. I know the T27 was used in the UK also as a control tire but Iīm not sure if they still use this tire.
can you post a direct link as i cant find any setups there.
thanks for your help

I think there are no setups but you could ask there regarding a setup. Maybe one of these guys is using the T27 also.

Hi TRF MAN

I see your having problems getting onto my site. Do you have a flash player installed? (The site is based on flash, you can find it free on the net)

But if you don't succed in doing this, or don't want to, just give me your mail and i'll send you the setup.

Best regards

I know itīs a control tyre. We have used this one also two or three years ago. Unfortunately itīs not a slick tire and doesnīt have very much grip when compared with newer tires. But I think there will be no setup specially for the T27.
Sorry TRF MAN

I missed this reply. And I see you found it, thanks to V12

Take care

has anybody had any problems with their penguin r/c carbon backplate? i tried to install mine yesterday and found a few problems. first, the holes for the screws were too small. no problem i guess, i just made them bigger. but the middle hole (where you place the shaft through) is absolutely huge! it doesn't fit snug like the stock one at all. not only that, but the holes don't match up one bit. did i get a bad plate, or . . . . .?

My plate is perfect. You might just have gotten a bad one. Contact them and get a new one.

Usually your LHS can order them. If some locals race Evo's then find out what shop they goto cause sometimes, especially with the 1-way they might stock the gears.

Isn't the penguin r/c plate for the oneway gear not the spur gear?
So the drive shaft should never have to thought it. This also explains the small holes, those big screws on the spurgear are not meant to go though.

Maybe I misunderstood your reply, sorry if I did.

It's difficult to say because of the size of your track. During the KO Grand Prix at Socal (small-medium high bite) we were running somewhere between 6.0-6.4 with Peak/Orion red springs on both sides and 4499's with a little bit taken off the leading and trailing edge of the brush (MVP trick). These motors aren't relatively fast but we got them going okay since they were the handout. Good enough for TQ in prostock.
