Ray...
I have a Cross F1 as well..and it share the same bodies as the Tamiya F103 series... the Toyota GT body will fit the cross...as long as you still have the front bumber/body mounts. and foam tires are still available for them. I still have some mounted and trued Proline foam tires packed away in the garage. or make your own foams with the Tamiya rims and Jaco 12th scale foams..

here's the Toyota body. they were available seperately as a body set..

Yeah, but still had to pry your hands from the radio. I promise a full pack run if you show up this Saturday. Maybe I should build the F40 so there will be two to play with.

I don't mind Ray. Took the picture in the warehouse here at work around 8:00 PM at night so it shows I have a crappy camera.

As for rims, the fronts use 1150 bearings that you push into the rims (like off road trucks), then attache the wheel nut. The rears are hubs that use a 4mm standard Tamiya wheel nut bolt to hold to each end of the axle. Then the rim bolts onto the hub with (2) 3x10mm screws so it sounds like a specific Tamiya application.

They are taking preorders.
They must be getting them directly from Japan because the TA05 with the ESSO Supra body is a Japan release kit only also.

As for bodies, Tamiya did release in Japan as an "AO" part the Ferrari F40 clear body. You see them on e-bay sometimes. With the way Tamiya marketing works, it will just be a matter of time before they sell the bodies seperate. Even the newer bodies they sell as prepainted are also sold in clear version so it would be a big suprise if they don't.

I frankly would like to see the Nissan R89C as well. having seen pictures, I think the Jaguar, Mercedes and Nissan would make for an interesting class even on the club level

the older group C bodies fit on the f103 chassis for the indy car. just the wheels look a little small if youdid not use the indy wheels too.

with Tamiya bringing these back do you think they'll start up with the TA02 chassis?

Maybe even the Big K would bring back the TF-Serries...

(I have a Ta02 and TF-2 begging to be taken off the shelf)

I definitely want the Jaguar, but I hope they release a 962.

Tamiya never did a 962 body with the Group C chassis cars and they are only reproducing the cars as they already have the part and body molds and film for graphics. No new investment needed.

I also throw my wish in for the re-release of the R89C Nissan !

BTW - Anybody else notice the Tamiya Group C interiors from '92-93 popping up on e-bay now. Makes an awesome addition when the car becomes a shelf queen.
