I've seen that somewhere before ...

wireless power source ....Nikola beat SP to that game by about 100+ years.

I think the SP concept is a great one, but not something that is realistic in the near future. The closest thing is phone and watch chargers ...but the devices still need to be touching the charge unit.

Why? I don't see an alternative at the same price point. Not to mention even our gear diffs have their own problems (i.e. they're bordering on the "too complicated to get right in this size" edge of the possible). Imagine a limited slip diff in 1/10. Would be a nightmare of weak points.

And that's how you're getting back to the ball diff. Diff action, and a spring to control tension/slip.

You need to read the title of the thread: "I wish I had something that would help do......". The title isn't "Why your wishes will never come true."

Fortunately, my wishes do not require anyone's approval, don't need to have a minimum level of possibility, and don't need to meet a price point. That's why they are called "wishes".

If you would like to discuss design of a particular item, existing or not, please start a new thread. It's a great way to gather the thoughts and wisdom of many talented people.

I wish RC Tech had a feature to help block quotes of ignored users
