Some local guys have tried them on a medium sized medium to high grip asphalt track and have gained speed.

I've put a lot of time on this body. At my local track (black carpet and small) it's at least as fast as the ltc and has the potential to put in a lap time that is quicker by .1.

I don't think it's going to replace the ltc, but I do imagine it will be a body that you take with you to various tracks and have an advantage over the others.

I lined my 2.0 at the zero mark and may line the next one up a few mm on the positive side (moving the body back).

Went to a lhs and saw the ltc 2.0 but it was significantly more expensive than other bodies. Then I noticed the body had an kyosho label as well.

Any reason the why the body with kyosho labelling cost 50% more than a regular protoform body?

I see you are in Hong Kong and it looks like these bodies are going through a Japanese distributor and being marked up accordingly. Find a shop that has imported them directly and you should see normal pricing.

Any updates on how the LTC 2.0 compares with other bodies? A lot of setup sheets (mainly looking at Xray) still use the LTC-R on asphalt.

Here is a big test overview of the newest Protoform-, Montech- and Bitty Design shells:

I did that, but the heading for the charts don't translate, presumably as they are part of the 'graphics, not the font.

Anyone still using this body

Recently acquired the R version of this and found it quite edgy compared to my previous normal weight GX. Occasionally I felt like I was battling with the car with the LTC 2.0 R. Went back to my GX and was lot more consistent and became .1 quicker. Will give it another go with our new layout...

I still use it with great success. The GX has a ton of overall grip, perfect for lower traction conditions but once grip comes up its too stuck to the track I find.

mmm yeah I feel my corner speed is my killer but its most likely my technique as I've only done TC for under a year..

The GX did well when the track was wet once. Will give the LTC another guy once I get familiar with our new layout and report back.

I used the GX a lot when i was new to the hobby. Now i only use it when traction is really low. I found it to have responsive steering and a well planted rear, but like previously mentioned, the rear is a bit too stuck on higher traction surfaces.
