At the moment we will have the carbon cars ready in 4-5 days, given that our diff gears come in within that time frame. The carbon car will come with Longer Shocks for now, or if you wish to request it without shocks, we can knock off $40.00 off of the price from the kit.
The aluminum car will take a while longer. I am out of chassis and should have more in 10-15 days. However, we are sourcing a new shorter shock and this may take a while longer to get, so the alloy car may be out closer to a month. Again, we should be able to provide cars without shocks at a discounted price for those that wish to have it. The Aluminum car will come with a top deck instead of a Vertical Rail system and is should come with the shorter shocks once we have the new shocks in stock.
I know we have a waiting list on cars right now. If you guys are interested in one, please get on that list asap so that we can reserve them for you. I will only have a limited first batch of GZ2s and I think they will all sell out. Fairly quick. Almost half of them have been taken up by our Italian and Japanese distributors, so it does not leave us with many.

Thanks for the update, Cristian! It looks like more and more people are beginning to gravitate towards the Gizmo chassis.
I knew after the first time I drove it that the car was special. Now, with the GZ2 improvements, it shouldn’t take too long for it to become a household name.
Can’t wait for my GZ2 to arrive!

Cristian, I noticed on your set up sheet that you had +1mm on the wheel hexes. Did you just shim it or are thicker ones available?
Also, did you shim the ball studs on the steering rack, or mount them without any. There is no number on the sheet.
Will the new car come with the “rear anchor weight” that you used?
I know, I ask a lot of questions. Hahaha

Gizmo Springs
Does anybody know which of the Gizmo springs comes closest to the C=2,6-spring of Xray? Or can anybody measure the wire diameter of the Xray-spring?
Thanks!

If there are no notations in the sheet for something, you can assume a "zero" setting on it.
The anchor weight is an optional item.

I personally stick to Axon Silver for carpet and RSD or Yokomo RP for Asphalt.

There are no wider hexes. The +1 just means shims are used. Regardless, it would make no difference with either or. I do know Awesomatix makes +2 hexes, but not +1.

I figured you just shimmed them, I was just making sure. When will the weight system become available? I love the look and idea of it. Would love to have one.

My own device to measure...
XRAY springs are 1.4mm in diameter. However all springs are different. There is no way to equate even one brand to another due to slight manufacturer differences. I would suggest to pick a specific brand you like and stick to it. it is the only real way to be able to go up and down in rate accurately and keeping track unless you have access to an accurate way of measuring springs (the gforce unit is not one!). All springs can feel the same, but the way they are rated could really throw you for a loop and confuse you tremendously.
I personally stick to Axon Silver for carpet and RSD or Yokomo RP for Asphalt.

I am not sure if this "homemade" device is accurate enough but in case it is, the blank Gizmo spring comes closest to the Xray 2,6 (see attachments).

Hey guys! Does anyone know where I can source those upper arm plastic thingies for my GZ1? Gizmo is selling them for 20 bucks a set which is, well... insane.
Thanks a lot!
