Out-qualified Bruno Coelho.

Pictures of the display car at the ETS race last weekend.

Lots of nice details/different thinking in this car. Enjoy

What's involved in changing the pinion size?

I think you set the gear mesh by moving the motor up and down slightly.

One thing I like about this setup is you can probably put different sized spurs on either side of the motor and overdrive the front wheels.

Curious thing. That never would have crossed my mind. That is, moving the motor or changing gear ratios f/r. Thanx D rat.

When the rear tires start to break loose, the fronts well tend to pull it along, making it faster out of the turns. Keep in mind, he did say 'probably'.

Its just another tuning option. It mellows out the cars turn-in and transition from corner entry to mid-corner, and gives a little more on-power steering and tends to to make the back of the car follow the front during corner exit. Its not a big change, but noticeable.

I did find that it made the car a little squirly under are braking.

Couldn't you do the same with a traditional car by using smaller pulley in the front than in the rear? Not as fine as with spur gears of course.

if the motor up and down movement is the only option for mesh adjustment - as opposed to fore and aft for either the motor or the spur - then i can't see how running different sized spurs will work.
