I have a Hobbywing esc that steering work but no throttle what could it be

is the ESC plugged in correctly to the receiver?
have you tried a different receiver?
did you calibrate the ESC?

You may also try reversing your throttle channel. Some ESC will not calibrate if the signal is not the right way.

Trouble shoot by trying to calibrate the esc in another known working vehicle. If it still won't function try resetting a model on your radio to factory specs, as well as the esc.

I believe that all Hobbywing esc's default to sensorless mode if there is a bad sensor cable. Just lower power and cogging at start but motor will still run.
