1/12 vehicles that use metric hardware?

Of the 1/12 pan cars out there now that are competitive, which of those use metric hardware?

Pretty much all the 1/12th scale cars (with the notable exception of Speedmerchant and CRC) use primarlly metric fasteners. Those two cars (which are both US made) use mostly imperial screws.

You mean metric screws?

Xray, Yokomo, Associated... probably some more. Don't know which ones fit your criteria of being competitive though.

thinking crc, xray, etc.

out here last time I ran 1/12 crc was quite popular as I think a few of the people were sponsored by them, but I seem to recall the screws weren't metric. So looking to try this class again and would like a vehicle that is, and preferrably one if at all possible that has a battery retaining system that doesn't only involve strapping tape.

I am open to models that are not the latest spec either, like for example what the crc gen xl is to there current lineup if that makes sense.

Not sure why the type of fastener matters at all..but most cars use tape aside from crc which has a handy oring to hold the battery.
I'd have to look at lukes xray but pretty sure that was tape as well.

X12 use only matric screws so you don't need any imperial tools at all. But you do need imperial bearing though

XRay and Yokomo use all metric screws and Associated uses all metric hardware as well minus the screws for the rear wheels.

RSD RR12 also uses metric except for the wheel screws. I think Xray is the only one with metric hubs. Although XENON makes some 4-40 threaded screws with 2mm allen heads to remedy that. Mine are on the way.

TOP also uses metric for the rear wheel screws.

My XRAY X12'16 was built using only metric tools.

hiro

Don't have it on the track yet buy my hiro factory in all metric with the exception of the rear hubs those are 440 :flaming: and it uses a o-ring to hold the battery in place

Serpent S120LTR uses all metric hardware, even the rear wheel screws.

Vbc lightning 12 is metric.
