Just search on Ebay there are a couple pre-cut ones you can find there. Otherwise buy a Jconcepts clear sheet and cut it out to the chassis.

Also, they sell wheels with different offsets, some from the companies mentioned above.I have some foam tire & wheel set ups that are different offsets & widths, haven't tried them yet,no carpet in sight 'round here.As for asphalt, cheaper the better, they get tore up quick.they don't last me.

What do you mean your car eroded?

Probably the bottom chassis got beaten up with all the stones etc. Also another reason why I do not like ball differentials, as they are usually open to dirt coming in.

Are the contact rc foam tires from amain any good? They are cheap but I can only find one review on them (which is good). They are half the price as the bsr sets. I can't find a width on this dual compound set but the other 37 shore set I found is 27mm. I think 26mm is the norm? will I be ok with 27?

And will deep dish wheels have an offset to them? It seems like a lot of the cars are wider in the rear at least and the wheel gets tucked in and it looks goofy. Was thinking the deep dish wheels would stick out further?

Good luck finsing any rubber tires that will handle thrashing on ashphalt witg crazy motor settings. I will say the team powers tires performed great on super abrasive ashphalt and on carpet too. Much better than the sweeps we run indoors.
Foam tires you prob want 35 37 shore.

2. Carpet racing (has to be foam)
3. carpet racing - Oval (has to be foam)
And should I be looking at 30mm or 26mm? Is that the width? And what shore for each of the above (street and carpet)?
1) For Parking Lots and Streets - I personnally would be using treaded tires...
Sry there is no carpet tracks here in HK.. for outside Asphalt I have tried Matrix Racing 35 Front and 37 Rear when the track is very crappy and dusty and it works wonders! (I also shoe goo the tire side walls to help lessen chunking)

Yes it's what I meant. It a figure of speech.

What I meant was when I ran my car on untreated asphalt like parking lots, it will significantly shorten the lifespan of your car. Bearings, belts, and yes, ball diffs will "erode" fast.

That car was not meant for bashing and not meant for that kind of esc/motor combo. Yes it's fun but costly in the end.

Don't get me wrong. To me, bashing is a lot of fun! But with another kind of chassis and tires for that kind of condition. Something with a sealed drivetrain plus foam tires is the best setup.

See my before and after run.

I keep hearing untreated asphalt or prepared track surface. What is done to real asphalt tracks that makes them different than regular street or lot surfaces?

Treated: Clean, no small pebbles, sprayed with soda or the likes.

Untreated: Parking lots, basketball courts, tennis courts, etc.

Is there an actual difference between nitro foam tires and electric? I'm looking t the contact rc tires in amain and I'm looking at the 35 and 37 shore but the electric version says they are 27mm and the nitro are 26mm. What I have on now measures 25.5mm so I want to stay at 26 if possible. Can I just use the ones that say nitro? I wouldn't see why there would be a difference between nitro and electric. They are both the same shore rating.

Sorry Slapjack,I didn't mean to say I purchased the tires at Amain but it is a good source. Also, you might try rc4less.com & omnimodels.com for foam tires but don't ignore the advise given for rubber tires for asphalt. You well get way more fun time per $$. As for offset I have foam tires 36 mm wide with a 20 mm measurement from nut surface to outer edge of rim rears and 28mm wide with 20mm measurement from nut to edge. I don't know where I purchased these.I found them in my parts box with my asphalt beaten Yokomo.
