For me, the A800X was a step backward from the A800, I just couldn't get the A800X to work. Last year locally 21.5 Nationals Winner and WA State Titles 1st and 2nd were all A800's (not A800X). I actually sold my A800X and just staying with the A800 now. It works.

Hey there , how do you guys decrease roll ( while maintaining grip) on this chassis(A800) I’m a bit of a noob to this suspension layout and I’m finding that the car rolls too much often feeling slaugged (keep in mind I come from 1/10 ic cars where they run very flat and very little roll compare this TC’s cars) what would you guys recommend trying out to?

Finally broke/bent my first part on my A800XA. New layout had a high speed chicane and I have a bad habit of cutting it too close. It's like pinball when I crash.

Taco'd the AM19-2 and flung out the battery.

Car was great with Max's MCSS setup on a grey carpet with Sorex 28s.

What shock oil? What is the spacing for the spring and dampers? What sway bars? Etc etc.

Also what surface are you running on?

That's gotta be one of the coolest mods I've seen for onroad in a while. Pretty simple concept too.

550 F/R
Front : 2.0 and 2.4 mm spacing , 1.1 sway bar
Rear: 2.3 and 3.3mm spacing, 1.1 sway bar
I’m running on asphalt medium grip and sometimes high depending on the prep it had that day.

I think the same thing...I wasn't able to setup an A800X that works like my previously A800...I thought it was my fault, but sometimes I heard or I read something similar from other drivers.

If I want to try running a 1mm shim with the AM06WL should I also go from 1.75mm on top of the hub to 1mm?

Found a diagram on PetitRC that shows the hub moving up ~.75mm...

I'll be resetting droop, ride height, camber, caster, and toe to original settings.

The A800X is a better car for my son. It was just felt much better.

You just cannot take your A800 setup and apply it to the A800X. There are differences in wheelbase, and I think it was bulkhead height too.

As long as he new car has been built correctly/perfectly (this goes for any car), then you will be rewarded with a great driving car.

Of course, I said only that "I" wasn't able to find a setup for A800X that works like the old A800, I never said that I used the same setup, they are 2 different cars.

I see many people that are faster with the new A800X, I think it's only a personal driving feeling, even because there isn't a big difference with lap times, for me the new one it's slighlty difficult to drive.

I agree, it's personal preference, the two have some distinct differences, and for some the A800X works better, for some (me) the A800 works better. Many of the self appointed Awesomatix gurus scoffed at my set ups though with the A800 but we all drive differently and different things work for different people it amuses me how many people blindly take the setup of "driver x" because he's a national champ or sponsored guru or something rather than adapting a set up to their track and their driving style. I did that myself, went through I don't know how many set ups of guys like hanulec etc but didn't work for me, but I can guarantee my set up wouldn't work for everyone either.

X100

I tried the stock setup, a Mike Gee setup, and a Max Machler setup. Max's felt the best so I went from there tweaking it.

I'm running an A800XA and the other fast local is running an A800. Anytime I let him try my car he says "I don't know how you drive that thing, it has way too much steering!"

Different strokes for different folks 😂
