Default Oil Shoot out

I am not sure what magazine had the spring shootout but I figure that their needs to be an oil shoot out too. This way we can figure out the whole which oil is equivalent to another companies oil. Just a thought.

Man wouldn't it be nice if all companies used the same system to rate their springs and oils so we wouldn't have to go through all that testing.

You get it exactly.

Each company's rating is NOT always equivalent to another's.
Some are are linear, some are exponential.

But that doesn't make sense, everyone that you ask says xray 30 is more like associated 45-50

That's why we always say, buy all your oils from the same manufacturer and this will help your set ups be more consistent.

I'd guess that the scientific method used on that linked website is reasonably accurate.

I'll probably be buying Kyosho oils.
