Item 1 already exist. It's called Live RC and MyLaps. They both have this feature and/or apps.
Item 2 can be done but MyLaps wants your left testicle for one loop and most tracks can barely afford one.
Item 3 was done in the old NiCad, brushed motor days and used only in the braking phase to put a load on the motor. It never amounted to much other than brakes.

Erm, we had that over here 10 years ago, for PocketPCs and laptops. There's even an iOS app for it http://appcrawlr.com/ios/bbkrclive

1.) 1/12th spec tire acceptance/common.

2.) Touring car belted insert-less spec tires (inner ribs or honeycomb). Eliminates a lot of blow outs. Greater contact area for tire glue to the wheel.

3.) Approval of shorty pack designed chassis.

4.) Aluminum Ion Batteries start emerging.

F1s - 200mm wide with low profile tyres (F103 width rear tyres), to reflect the direction the real cars look to be going. Hopefully this won't take 10 years though!

I would not be at all surprised to see weight limits go down again.

I wonder with battery size getting smaller if we would see top decks be lower down too?

And it would be interesting to see what effect that has on the handling

Electronic tech will always continue to improve. I would venture to say that the batteries will get smaller, lighter and more powerful. Motors will likely get smaller and lighter in tandem with the improved batteries. ESC's will be either much smaller or fully integrated into each motor as battery and motor efficiency continue to improve. These things alone can be game changers as long as the sanctioning bodies adopt them. Having independent AWD would certainly be huge from a techie standpoint but I don't think the hardware will be that far along in 10 years. Software is a different story though. Full telemetry with GPS and gyros can integrate with high resolution data logging that could enable autonomous driving or at least driving assistance. Likely will be banned as a driving aid like gyros and such. I don't mean the delicious Mediterranean pita sandwich/burrito type thingy.

Several high end esc's will master traction control and terrorize the rest of us for 2 years until we buy our own $350 esc's for each of our cars. Then ROAR will ban them 3 months later and make us all buy new esc's with a second blinky light.

Next somebody will "invent" a new tire tech that eliminates inner foams from going dead and the tire rubber getting thin. The new invention will be an all foam tire with some rubber mixed in that wears away to expose a fresh surface as it wears. The internet will call them geniuses for inventing it and call the best invention of 2025.

A handfull of fast guys will get an idea for charging their batteries at 40 amps to get a faster first lap and then sell the badly abused batteries to the noobs at the track for 70% the price of new ones. Oh wait, that was 1995......and last week.

Maybe Tamiya will stop supplying the silver can.

1. Battery technology will improve. No more puffed lipos.

2. ESC could be integrated with motor. You can still choose your ESC/Motor combo but ESC will be bolted on somewhere within the motor. EG: endbell.

3. They might come up with kits that do not need any upgrades. All you need to buy are spares.

4. Tolerances will be more exact. Will reduce or eliminate shimming.

5. New materials for chassis aside from carbon fiber.

6. Speed runs could break the 200mph barrier.

7. RC cars could run like slot cars or like the motorcycles in the movie TRON.

Then you would have to change ESC's as well as motors for different classes, no thanks

And pigs might fly

If you buy decent enough kits (avoid certain manufacturers ) that's barely an issue now

5. New materials for chassis aside from carbon fiber.
Such as?

6. Speed runs could break the 200mph barrier.
They probably could now with the right tyres, but who cares, speed runs have nothing to do with racing

7. RC cars could run like slot cars or like the motorcycles in the movie TRON.
Nope
Just my opinions obviously

It's just my opinions too. We'll never know what the future will bring.
