Sucks that body options are limited and cant run any of the more realistic bodies, but if this car doesnt push as bad as the old lightningf, I can get over it.

what specific bodies won't fit on the LightningF? something like the Tamiya MP4-24? will they fit needing modification? i am about to drop $$ for this one... i'm between the Serpent SF2 and this at the moment.

...many bodies are not wide enough at the rear to fit. I have a Protofom F1-Thirteen that fits though.

Default ride height

Anyone know if standard Tamiya or Tuning Haus rear ride height insert work n the rear bulkheads?

VBC bearing/ride height inserts are unfortunately not compatible with Tamiya or Tuning Haus inserts.

ran the car for the first time using kit setup, as the grip started coming up it felt as if the front was rolling over a little too much so some stiffer springs will most likely be in order. it was a good day, took a big hit to a click track pipe and nothing broke, tq, win and fast lap, cant wait to try the car at my home track!!

How are you all getting the battery in and out? For safety reasons I won't charge the battery in the car.

That sucks, I would think they would design the chassis so you dont need to remove anything to take out the battery. It sucked with the old LightningF, removing 4 screws every time I need to swap out the battery or just for a charge since the top plate covers up the balance port.

Design usually follows the path of speed vs ease of changing the battery, that being said I never take the batt out of my f1, in my Lightning f I ran battery forward with the bullets at the back then I made a short jumper wire for the balance port, a 2mm bullet on one side and. 4mm bullet on the other side. The 4mm bullet acted as a receptacle for the balance wire from your charger.
