  • Nice work Montros. Where did you find the Ti. to make these?
  • I see most of you do not run a servo saver,,any issues with that?

  • stripped the gears on the savox servo tho.
  • I ordered the Ti from a group that makes medical products. It the ends they normally throw out. Keeps my cost down. The first weekend with the new king pins and even though I clipped the inside of a curb hard enough to yank the lower ball holder free from the carbon arm the king pin and e clip stayed secure.

    The car ran so well I won the main. First time for that with this car. The suspension worked so well cornering was smooth as butter. Didn't realize how much the old e clip system was catching on the lower ball mount.

    It should be out mid September, I have 5 on pre order. It will have the new 12m style rear pod. And a few other updates. I haven't seen the final product pictures so I don't want to speculate on everything

    Faster. I've only lost one trophy race in the north west since it came out. And the car that won was another fx

  • does anybody know if we can put an gear diff in the lighting fx that would be a lot better than the stock diff thiking of putting X-rays diff in otherwise thanks in advance

    The Fenix gear diff would probably work. But if your having troubles with your diff on high grip carpet. There are two sure ways to fix it. The first is by installing a Tamiya f104 thrust bearing and then install an extra thrust washer so you can get enough pressure that the car doesn't diff out in high grip. With out the thrust bearing the 5x11 bearing will fail with that much pressure

    This is the advice you need. Forgot you gave me the same advice, Alex. If you're running on carpet - this is what you must do. Don't really think the gear diff is necessary.

  • Should have mentioned that for you, Alex. I have ordered from Alex (GripworksRC) and not only does he ship quick, his customer service is the best I have experienced. Mostly because he knows his ****. He races on a weekly basis the cars he sells.

    And btw ScottZ, the VBC ball diff is pretty high quality, just add those thrust washers and bearing and I think you would be more than happy - less maintenance too. And much easier to rebuild a ball diff than a gear diff (to me anyway).
