It is a WGT body from it's initial design, though most all bodies in the class are modified to fit the wheelbase and trackwidth. It was ruled out from the beginning as it has been altered beyond simply fitting the chassis. It's too long in the hood and too low both in main body and roof line as compared to the real DB9. It will not fit the front tires without rubbing. The same is true for almost all of the orginal WGT bodies. The Sophia is in the same boat. It is based on a real Alfa Romeo.

I understand it's not the exact scale and shape of the real car. I would hate to see someone turned away from a race because they already have a body that looks like a many of the other bodies on the list, but it 's not on the list. According to what I have read on this read on this forum, some of the 190mm will have a problem with the tires. But, if the tires won't fit at all then that's a big problem and it shouldn't be included.
The body list is on the first entry of this forum which was started in 2015. Are there bodies being added on a regular basis?

I am currently at the IIC in Vegas. We have 11 Ford GTs and 2 Corvettes in the WGT-R class of 13 total cars. I tried the PFM-10 body first; but, changed to the Ford GT after the first day. Peer pressure...LOL

Effective 10/15/17, the body section of the rules have been updated with the following:
"If the body has bolt on pieces (for example the Ford GT B pillar side wings, or some of the HPI bodies have a bolt on rear bumper area), these must be used. This does not apply to the side dams that can be added to the rear wing."

Where the rules say "any body currently on the USVTA approved body list", is that both the USVTA and USGT body lists (as they're both on the USVTA website), or really ONLY the USVTA list?!?
Surely, the USGT bodies would be allowed in WGT-R?
I was thinking of the Colt 911 GT1, specifically. Since the HPI Porsche 911 GT1 is allowed, it seems like it would make sense?
Thanks in advance!

Would it be possible to add the Colt bodies to the approved list? They don't seem too different to other approved bodies, for example the HPI Porsche 911 GT1 (M1136) or the Delta Plastik CLK (M1130)...

I ran my first World GT-R race at Windy City RC. It was a very small turnout and I did my best to stay out of the way. It as fun and I have a lot to learn.
