"MC" is a machine. I am pretty sure he had his 12th scale car 80% apart at one point last weekend.

Sadly, all that work, changing something every round and changing big stuff in the final round, only got me 0.02 seconds a lap for each try. So only got 0.06 seconds faster from start of day to the end. My car was pretty quick to start with, but Greg had 0.2 on us so I had to try whatever I could. I certainly did not get most improved for the day. Thinking that you might have?

My fast lap really didn't change a whole lot. I was around 9.4 all day.

stock spur. 40t for r1. Then went to 35t. Also running the spec gravity motor that ThunderDome requires. I donít think the motor was as big an issue as Iíd like it to be. Itís probably more in how inconsistent the steering has been. Especially on a smaller, tighter turn track

Iíve never been good at gearing. And over here most guard their gearing setting like itís gold.

We run spec motors....it's not complicated:
Run the car - how bad does the car fall off over a run?
Add a tooth - do you go faster? Does the car fall off worse over the run?
- if you go faster with the same fall off...add another tooth
-if you go same speed with more fall off work the other way and take a tooth off

Unfortunately, nothing with on road has been that simple for me. Most days with GT12 I can run 6-7 different pinions with no difference.

Iím still trying with WGTR. Gearing isnít my biggest problem with WGTR. At least not on the bigger track

From the weekends Trinity race at ThunderDome. Didn’t make it out of the B. I’m still struggling with getting mine to turn.

CRC. Same as most local running it. Iím thinking now itís more me than car. Canít get a feel for how to get it to turn. Doesnít drive like a 1/or a touring car. On paper thereís basically 1 second 1-to last. First ran 11.8/12.1 average. I ran 12.713.2 average. That works out to 2 laps down

Check the mounting bolts that hold the suspension to the butterfly plate. If those bolts pass through the lower arm and you have a minimal amount of shims it could be rubbing against the upper arm, which make the suspension not want to work properly. Also make sure you don't have a bent kingpin or kingpins. if they are bent the car won't want to turn either.

Also check the amount of glue on the front tire. If there's too much and it's over the top of the contact patch of the tire then it will not turn as well.

If all of the suspension is in good and free working order I recommend playing with battery position in that car. I run the latest version and there are a ton of options. Don't follow the pack, try something different. My CRC has the battery forward and inline. That makes the car drive well with a spool. If I want more steering I move the battery back. More yet, full rear. It can also be turned sideways with multiple positions. On our black carpet the front is .45 to .50 springs, 5 deg reactive with caster to fine tune. Rear is .45 side springs, 20k in the tubes. Center is red or stiffer w 35w. Roll center is 2mm under the mounts. Our track is newer CRC black (put down in Feb.
Hope some of that helps.
