You are asking for the "blem" tire as it is less cost than the "new" tires. The "blems" were a one time deal where they were selling off tires that didn't meet their standards when received from the manufacturer. So, you are going to have to bite the bullet and pay full price for the "new" tires that they have. I agree that the "blems" should be taken off the website since it creates confusion, but there is little chance there will be more and you never know when they could come around again.

WGTR had it debut at ThunderDome over the weekend. Reaction has been mixed. Some expected the class to be faster. We see if interest grows over summer. I’m undecided

Second week. Still small number. But I’m liking that so far no one is vastly quicker.

I think spec motor would work as long as it is quick enough to satisfy the racers. We had a rubber tire oval class that was 1 cell and the 13.5 Reedy FT motor. It was very good and well followed. The organization switched to the 17.5 Tekin Spec adjustable timing motor to match up with another organization and the class died. The cars were slower and the motor cost twice the price.
2 cents.

In the Midwest we had the spec CAN-Am motor for awhile and the class almost died. Now we are back to open motor and have been for a couple of years. To each their own on this one.

I’m planning to go to a couple out of state races this month. Don’t know if they run spec or open motor. But with that and few more local races I’ll have better idea of where the spec motor fits

So far the races have stayed close. About 2 laps first to last. Much closer then GT12 has become.
