Exclamation Need Purchasing Advice

Hey, I'm looking to purchase a new or used touring car to run around the neighborhood. Now, I want all the goodies of a factory team or hopped up version since I'd add them anyways, but it needs to be durable and be able to handle the pavement. I've been thinking about buying a xxx-s G+, would that be a good idea? Thanks

First question, what does your local hobby shop have in the way of parts?

The local hobby shops carry losi, hpi, associated, yokomo. I need the drivetrain hop-ups for sure, and durability. Those are number 1

I had a XXXS G+ and I liked it. Now I run a HPI Pro 4. I am really liking it. There are hop up's you can do but you don't really need any of them. The car can run straight out of the box.

You won't go wrong with the associated, hpi, or losi. I would go either HPI or Associated though. And I'm not really an Associated guy in the least. Never have been sinc my RC10 GoldPan.

If I even looked at a pipe or board wrong my XXX G+ I would break and arm or C-Hub, seemed a little fragile to me, now my FK05.....been running it hard for a couple months with a spool in it and have only broken one C-hub, and that was only after putting a 10t mod in one day and goofing around at the track.

I never boke a part on the XXXS G+. Other than a servo horn but I wasn't running a servo saver. I saw a guy snap a rear arm but he ws going full pin and clipped a plastic 2x4 barrier with his rear wheel. Not really the cars fault.
