Hey Bill! How are the thrusts holding up? I am pressing chassis as fast as I can right now. I am looking forward to visiting Cal again, I hope that I can enter into a couple of classes of 12th though. I am easy, what ever I can enter... so long as it's mod!

12th clases are stock & mod, as such you would only be able to run one or the other.

Haven't seen him yet, you'd think he'd stick out like a sore thumb out here

Online signup is now up go to the www.2006RoarNats.com site then go to Entry --> Register Online, this will direct you to the gearchart.com online signup system ....it may seem like extra steps to go through, but I have all the online stuff (including secure server, credit card processing gateways, etc...) all bound to the gearchart.com domain.

Put me down for TC Masters...I'm old and slow, but I'd rater have it be 19t instead of stock (but I'll be racing whatever it is, and be happy about it). I hope to run two classes this year, TC Masters and 19t.

BTW, Ruben, if I can help in any way...announcing, scoring, etc. your wish is my command. Whatever you need, I'm here for you...

Thumbs down

I didn't read through every post but can anybody tell me why Stockton R/C and ROAR made the same huge mistake as last year by scheduling this race the same week as the Cactus Classic???????????????

Trip Threat ...... it's not ROAR's fault, if you want to place blame you can place it on us at Stockton RC Raceway. For us to do the best possible job and bring the best possible race to the racers we only had one weekend available in the month of March to make it happen and unfortunatly it was the same weekend as the Cactus. Any other date on our part would have been a complete conpromise. Now the Cactus is not a ROAR race. I spoke with Scotsadle RC and they could not change their schedule as well. We did the best we could to avoid the conflict and it is what it is.

Unhappy

It is just dissappointing that with attendance at big races struggling (especially at ROAR races), this race if scheduled the same week as Cactus. I want our hobby to survive and this only makes it more difficult. It won't be the Cactus that gets hurt (as it had filled all 300 in less than 4 days in 2005), but the mod nats. I for one will go to the Cactus as it is a larger race and so will a lot of Pros, but I would have gone to the mod nats if it was a different week. If Stockton had previous engagements during the time frame the race should have been held ROAR does have some responsibility. They could have simply chosen another track, one that could have provided a different date for the race. Just my .02.

250 ...per ROAR rules. I'm pretty sure the track can hold more.
