To All:

I have received word this morning that the Protoform Speed 12 B has received ROAR approval and will be legal for the 2006 Carpet Nationals at Stockton R/C.

I would like to take the opportunity to ask all of you that are coming out to PLEASE check the ROAR Approved Body Listing ( http://www.roarracing.org/approvals/sbody.php ) to make sure the body you will be running at the Nats is legal. Please note the some of the approvals have "expired". Bodies whose approval has expired will not be legal at the Nats.

Thanks for your time,

Art

Spectators are more than welcome in the building. The bleachers are at one end of the track and there will be a barricade separating the track area, pits and spectator/public areas. These will be about 8’ from the track edge. If you take a look at the pdf of the facility layout you will see how it all works. This is how we did it in ’02 and it worked very well. You won’t need an ID badge to get into the building or pits. You will need one to get inside of the track area. This is for security reasons and liability reasons. ID badges will only be issued to drivers and their immediate support personnel, i.e. team manager, motor tuner ect..

Couple of things:

1) The www.2006RoarNats.com website has been updated with a new layout (changes made to location of timing scoring, some missing sponsor pit spots updated, and some misspellings fixed )

2) The www.2006RoarNats.com website has been updated with the daily open door and start times, detailed up to the minuet scheduling will be posted as the racing starts (as well as available at the track of course)

3) The www.2006RoarNats.com website has been updated with facilities info re: power, internet acces, links to the ROAR's approved bodies, motors, batteries.

4) Everyone will be recieving confirmation emails later on today with your signup information, please take a moment to review these emails and reply with any changes to frequencies or transponders (there was a lot of signups without this information as well), this will expedite the checkin process as you all know!

All of the website updates were made in the About --> Nationals Race page.

Yes it will, and the paved nats will be able to benefit from any "fine tunning" of the process we need to make based on our experience with this nats ...so remember to signup early for the paved nats <---- Shameless plug

So let me get this straight. The Parma Speed 8 body has expired and will not be legal for the nats?

Look on the bright side, there are 2 Protoform bodies that are legal that aren't made anymore.

I just talked to Paul at Parma and he said the ROAR list is not up-to-date, and that the Parma bodies will be legal.
