I've tried nearly every current generation 21.5 available in f1 and this is by far my favorite. There are other motors i can turn the same lap time with but none with the same ease or consistently as the motiv. The smoother power delivery makes it deceptively fast.

10.5
Any idea when the 10.5 will be ROAR approved?

Previous I ran Cert 24k and Team Powers.
I tested out a 17.5T motiv with a HT rotor at my local track and set fast lap and TQ and ended up winning the main. Love the power band of this motor. Left it at the factory timing of about 43 degrees. Geared it for the track. I comes off around 130 degrees.
I ordered another 17.5 as backup and 2x 21.5 more for my USGT.
Thanks Paul for making such nice products. !

JIJ5 - working on getting an update for you.
mtveten & Dino_D - glad to hear you guys are happy with the performance of your Motiv products. Paul doesn't get on here much, if at all, but he is happy to hear the positive feedback when we chat with him. Thank you!

How accurate are the timing marks on the motiv 17.5 motors? I do not have a motor checker. I bought the motor used and it required disassembly for repair (broken solder connection of the B solder tab to the stator). Luckily I solder for a living.
I bought the high rotor for the motor (thanks Alex @ Gripworks), and was surprised to see that it is only marginally stronger than the mid rotor (1621 vs 1680). I guess every bit helps. :P Nice to see the motors are being offered with the high rotor installed already. Saves $53.

I have found it depends on the motor. The first batch I had was really close, the second might have been off 4 degrees. Since then they have appeared fairly accurate. Best bet is to get a g-force motor checker. For 17.5 touring stock I have found 45-47 with the high rotor works quite well. That being said maybe one of the team guys has found something better

Hi All,
I'm shopping for a 25.5 motor and noticed your descriptions says it's 'short stacked'. It's not actually short stack is it? Apparently SS is not allowed in ROAR 25.5 but I wouldn't mind getting one if the Motiv description was true
