Default JRXS, blacksheep, ugly, unloved???

Hmm...I've been browsing the For Sale thread lately and noticed an awful lot of JRXS' for sale.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/search.php?searchid=197418

I was considering scooping one up, however it appears nobody wants to keep theirs.

What gives???

you may forward this to jrxs thread, maybe other car easier to work on, especially for newbie, I have losi TC and like it since street weapon then -s g,
but when my LHS show me the jrxs, I personally doubt their short arm concept will give more benefit than centered mass concept,
this year they change motor layout, front upper link, etc, seems the design didn't finished when it launch to the public,
losi known with the innovation, for their customer's benefit, but this one I dunno...

There is nothing wrong with the car. They should never be done with a car they build. If you have a car and never try to change things then why buy springs & tuning parts? Have you ever seen a train guy build a layout & then say it's done? They spend years adding on & improving. The rear motor car is something they are trying to make it better as is the longer front camber links. I've been racing a TC3 for 5 years and am still trying to improve it along with my new JRXS. If you want a car that is done, buy a Tyco.

Matt Francis sure was fast at the on-road nats a few weeks ago, fast enough to win triple A-mains.

Saw just as many 415's for sale to. Losi like all major manufactures always work on developing new products to make their cars better. Real race teams are no different. Saw a bunch of TC4's to.

I like my JRXS so far but it does have alot of adjustments and won't be for everyone thats for sure. Like any car that is different it takes time to develop setups and fine tune them. I'm not even a Losi guy but this car had thinking as I really liked the overall layout.

I think the plus outweigh the lows of the car. The worst for me is soldering in packs but once I got one pack setup then the rest where easy.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to look into owning a second one. The one I already have is super dialed!

Sure man...I was just really suprised to see so many for sale. I really like the car for not having owned one. I think it's one of the most original looking / functioning TCs to come about in quite a while.

I suppose it just scared me to see so many up for sale when I was on the verge of buying one.

i have 2 of these bad boys and i have no intentions of getting rid of them if it's a back up i probably would but it's going to be a while b4 i dump this car. It's one of the best and most responsive car that i have every purchased and owned.

Every race day is a great day with the JRXS

Thumbs down

The real fact is that the car came out to soon . It will be when they finish but for now the corally rdx and the xray 05 is the car to have if you want to win.

I currently run a RDX and a JRXS on foams. I can turn the exact same laptime with the JRXS as the RDX. My buddy did the same experiment and ran the JRXS and the FK05 and he did the same thing-exact same laptimes. Its all about personal preference. Its a fast car and I own it so unlike a lot of guys who talk out there rear side whove never even driven one, I speak from experience.

YES_its a higher maintenance car compared to some-but its never-ever-ever-never been advertised as anything else but a Pro-level pure racing sedan. On rubber tires-I am sure its much less maintenance because the tires remain the same diameter.

Wow! I'm glad you put so much confidence in your car. I believe its the one with the steering wheel that does the winning, not the car.

But anyways, the Losi is the best car I have driven hands down. I have sold everything else but that. I still have my LCG though. I think that alot people sold themselves short sellin there Losi's before they got it perform. The stock setup is not going to be dialed out of the box. If you have any skills with tuning then you should be able get the car dialed in with a little work. Don't worry Sean, if you get a Losi, me and Ike will help you out. Jake picked up a Losi and turned 2 laps more than his previous best with his Xray. See ya at the track.

It does still comes down to driver. If he is a good driver and has setup skills to match he will do well with the car no matter which one he drives. Some cars still suit different driving styles as no two touring cars out drive the same even when dialed in. Might turn the same times but each touring car out has its own feel.

Right now mine is a little twitchy compared to my RDX but I'm also driving the JRXS at a track that has alot less traction so comparing is a little hard. I will say though that when I make an adjustment the car responds (whether I made the right asjustment or not) I see the differances in setups.

So far been a pretty pleasing experiance and like I said before I'm not even close to being a fan of Losi but the car is different and very trick. I like the weight balance of the car and my driveline is smooth and as free as any belt car I have ever had, actually it is the best to date for any of my belt cars.

i kinda was wondering the same thing about the losi car. but after i drove one, i bought one and just finished building it. my only complaint about the car is the wiring of batteries, but if that is my biggest complaint, i am gonna love it.

I had a JRX-S for a while. Didn't really like it on rubbers but was pretty quick with it on foam tires. The car seemed to go through front tires like crazy though
