The HKS Altezza 04R looks pretty darn tempting at the price.......... a TRF 04 on a budget! Any comments?

looks nearly race ready out of the box... I don't care if it doesn't come with a carbon lower deck (afaiK)...

Question: Can the TA-04 accept side by side packs or saddle packs? I only have SBS packs.

Regards,
Alvin

04 Pro or 04R? Pro can take side by side, u just have to be careful with the connectors if you intend to use the stick holder.
Saddle packs, you will need the optional chassis.

Hi Jack & stik,
I'm looking around for either models, but don't have the money on hand to get a new one.... anyhow, thanks alot! If only need to re-route my SBS pack batteries won't be too difficult... I want to get the ta-04 mainly because it seems to have much better parts availability compared to my existing tb01.

Thanks!

Regards,
Alvin

i use a tamiya rs 540 sport tuned motor, what gears would you recommend using? im using the stock kit gears at the moment but what something quicker.

i run on a tight track, and have tried using 48pitch gears (87 spur - 30 pinion) this combination isnt very good on a tight track.

can anyone recommend anything?

I haven't seen the 04R yet, what options does it have, what kind of chassis, does it come with a body. Please help me get up to speed.

Hey.

I have a TA04 (Modena kit) and I want to race it at my club racing. I don't want to win, I just want to have fun (because I already drive a Pro 3, which is for winning). I want to use stick packs.

What hop ups should I get. I know if it's just for fun, i won't need any, but I also want to look cool! What should I add/delete anything from this list? Please note, I want a few carbon fiber parts because carbon fiber is a lot easier to clean than plastic! I want to keep the price down.

- carbon fiber Shock Towers
- carbon fiber Upper Deck
- Stronger, RPM Ball Cups and Aluminum Ball Connectors
- Heat Sink
- Complete bearings (i only have the 8 5x11's now)

I also have the threaded shocks from my Pro 3 which I will definately use.

Does anybody have their FRP TA04 PRO upper & lower deck chassis for sale? I know it's only FRP, but remember, i'm only drving for fun, and I want to keep the price down. Please help a thirteen year old have fun. Yeah, I can just use the stock one i have, but I like a clean car, and it's hard to clean all those plastic parts. FRP or Carbon Fiber is so much easier to clean since it's flat, right? Email me at [email protected] or IM me (aol/aim) at jedimaaku .

Thanks

Here's an idea, why don't I set up the car for drifting so i can be the crowd-pleaser of the event. HEHE Maybe i'll have faster lap times because of it. Drifting with an HPI S2000 body with interior set (top cut off).... mmm.

QUESTION: I want to upgrade to RRP 64pitch gears because the stock ones are noisy. What's the gear ratio you recommend for a Trinity P2K Pro stock motor, and a medium sized track. It doesn't have to be a perfect gear ratio because again, it's only for fun.

Aurra- as far as gear ratios go what are the fast guys (with any car, it doesnt matter) around you running? Find that out then use this, www.arroyoc.com/gear.asp to find their ratio, the find the gears they use by typing in similar gears for your car. I find that website very useful, check it out. Give me some more info on the track, and I might be able to suggest something. If you can tell me the recommended ratio for your track I can tell you straight away.
