I have one of these car and love it. Mine is setup for 21.5 2s. For those that don't want to run foam you can use the CRC's gtr tires. Just make sure you reinforce the front of the body with shoe goo and dry wall tape. I would also recommend adding front bumper. Take drive very nice and look killer on the track.

What would I have to do in order to use F1 wheels on it?

Hi v squared,
I ordered one about two weeks ago on ebay around 130$ shipped. I just thought that was to good a deal pass up for 1/10 chaise and got it.
So any how, I don't have a track around here within 3hr drive. So I will just be parking lot running, but love the scale look.
I also yesterday ordered the full set of CRC rubber tires and was hopping the would fit. You gave me real hope they will.
I will get some pics on here as I go.

You could try to see if the VBC f1 axle will fit. I don't if the axle size are the same. I do know that the vbc lm axle is the same size as a standard pan car axle.

I know the CRC rubber wheel and tires will fit because I have them on mine. You will have to shim the rear out a bit to get it to 200mm. I think I have 2mm on each side of the rear axle. Take you time building and painting the body and it will be a great looking car.

On a side note with all VBC pan car you will need to change out the small front aluminum turnbukle that comes with the kit. The will snap you tap a barrier. Any 16mm or 15mm turnbukle will fit.

Any VBC guys on here that can tell me if the axle will swap out. I like the look of the P-one F1 wheels.

Looks like the axle from the lightning fx f1 is the same size as the lightning lm and lightning 10. They all use the same rear bearing. The only thing left would be to measure the width of the axle to make sure it will fit. I don't have a lightning fx to measure so I can't help you there.

If you really want to run f1 wheels and tires you should look at the Team Saxo lm car.

I like that car, I wonder if the VBC / Speed passion body will fit.
Where can I buy that kit?

What are the 2 countersunk holes for on the rear of the shock mount under the end of the shock body?

RoyU, I looked on the instructions and couldn't find any use in the design.
You cant see it too well in my pic, but there are two more counter sunk holes just forward of the shock mount also. Not sure why the four holes are drilled into the shock plate.

L Brown , glad to see you build one too
