Thanks PHILDOGGG! I got my droop setup for ride height at about 9mm front and 11mm rear.
The car wasnt going that straight on the 124mph pass so I let off kinda early. I was very surprised that it still went that fast.
I just got my 2 degree rear toe block. I only need the one rear toe block or do I need the middle rear one too?
I'm also waiting on some 6 degree caster blocks.
Hoping to make the car go straighter before more speed runs this weekend.

Is there any other 36mm motors out there besides the NEU that would be faster than my 7700kv?

Please could you let me know the advantages/disadvantages of belt and shaft driven vehicles for speed runs.

The only advantage I can think of for belts is that they run quieter and smoother.
I will never run a belt drive car again.

Tc4basher what kind of budget are we talking about? leopard motors are pretty good quality. try a 3660 can. I'll look.

What does lower ratio for higher gearing mean?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I understand. Say, I'm using a 35T pinion and 60T spur on both the belt driven and shaft driven car, then the final drive ratio of the shaft driven car will be lower. Is this due to a lower transmission and/or differential ratio in a shaft driven car?

Right now im running 43/52 gearing which puts me at 3.02 FDR. Should I try a 45t pinion (2.88 FDR)?

Any opinions on the Xray T3/T4. It has a 1.9 transmission ratio and would result in a 2.85 FDR with a 40T pinion and 60T spur.

I was looking at that leopard motor before and I think I would probably need to run 6s to get it faster than my 7700kv on 4s?
I will probably eventually get the NEU motor but I guess I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger on a motor that cost more than the car haha.

If yes, are you having any heat issues since the manufacture says 2S LiPo max.

If the motor is really hot or I want it to cool down even faster then I'll rest it on my dashboard of my SUV with the motor directly above a vent with the AC blasting and it cools much faster.
