I can't quite figure out exactly which country makes them, because mine came with pretty non-descrip packaging. Does anyone know who actually makes them?

I have a set of the wheels from Modeltech their mailorder service is great.
You need to remember that although VAT is charged at 17.5% in the UK where prices are quoted as including VAT the deduction for overseas orders will not be 17.5% it will be a bit less.
To explain: If the price including vat is 1 dollar then the the pirce without vat will be just over 85 cents ie 85cents plus 17.5% =1 dollar or near enough so the actual deduction you will see is around 15%.
The wheels are 5.99 sterling here which at current rates equates to $7.34 a pair if you remove the VAT.
I also bought some inserts from there these are fine but they are made by Integy so I guess you can get these locally anyway.

If they are made of carbon graphite, wont they break pretty easy?
The pro-line rims are flexible for a reason.

if my info is correct, they are made of graphite-composite which is made just like the "graphite" arms, hubs, knuckles, etc of the TC3 and the other cars...so no, they wouldn't break easily

The rims are indeed made from a composite similiar to that of AE graphite parts. They are extremely strong with ZERO flex. My rims are still perfectly straight on their third tire set. Of course, anything will break if hit hard enough! but I'm sure that if you do break them, that same force would also render ANY rims unless!

I ran them last year, they were really stiff, but too brittle around the edges for me. The wheel structure would not break, but the edges of the rim would snap off.

dtm,

I believe that the company is in HK... It was Team RCD (or something like that). I remember finding and visiting the website about a year ago, but now I can't find it!

I'll post an update if I can find it...
