Default TX Electrical Charging Help Requested

For years I have charged my TXs off the standard wall units that come with the TXs. This included airplane TXs and cars with no problems - I usually plug in the night before and play all day.

My Futaba wall unit light won't go on when I plug it in to the TX - the RX still works, I figgur it finnally died so it's time to go high zoot and use my car battery charger - using an AE adjustable Quasar.

I don't know what to set it at.............I've never understood electrons!

The wall unit says TX output is at 9.6v 70ma.

I set my Quasar for 8 cells @ .1a since this is the lowest Amp it will go...you can't adjust voltage output on a Quasar

I think 70 MA = 7/10s of .1 amp....so .1 is close enuff.

What do I set the cutoffs at - without cooking my bateries which are 2250 mah AA panasonic nicads?

Anybody with a Quasar or who charges off their car battery charger?

You will do OK with 1 amp. THe AA's can handle it..
