I tried it a couple runs at the Nationals. I didn't notice any difference on track compared to what I was already running. The DIP sauce worked good, but I went back to what I had since I didn't gain anything.

Dip works better when on the tires for along time..20+ minutes. I liked "cleaning" the tires wth Dip, then using tweek about 15 minutes before going out.

Default hi

Hi,

I have a race meeting at the end of the year but im starting to test now for it and i was wondering what traction compound would work on sorex 36's for less wear and still good grip?

Can anyone help out, ive only got 2 sets for two days and 5 races in each day and so i need to get them to last longer.

Davo, So far the best additive I have tried on Sorex 36r's is Trinity Red Dot. Apply aprox 30 minutes before your race wipe off after 10 minutes apply a second dose and wipe off 10 minutes before you race and put your tire warmers on and bingo.

After the run, clean the tires with motor spray.

I have yet to try SXT or Dip 3000 but I know the Red Dot is very effective on the Sorex's.

I take it your talking about the PS/Sorex master's at TFTR.

Well I usually run 32r's - C medium inserts and they last for a good 6-8 or so runs before they start to drop off. They feel different after the first run but the lap times don't change much.

You should be able to get 10 runs out of a 2 sets of 36r's no worries, the only problem would be if it was a very hot day.

I ran some 36rs a few meets back, I ran a 7x1 all day and they still looked good after 5 hard runs and they felt consistant right through the 5 mins.

You guys racing on concrete or asphalt?

I've had some sauce shipped there already and the SXT 1.0 has been pretty good I think. Twice baking I think. It works really good on used tires as well. The longer it sits the better.

Default Best no smell

Hey Guys,
We are planning on going to a no smell traction compound. We race in public places on carpet and almost got into deep trouble at our 2-day with people not liking the minty fresh smell.

Can you give me the top easy to get no smell traction compounds?

I know jack the grip, but our local hobby shop cannot get corally stuff.
Thanks and God Bless

try to get paragon traction action(white can), works almost as well w/o the minty fresh scent, also our lhs has an odorless rule, and some of us have used tq orange, not quite odorless, but an orang-y smeel, its good

Why can't your local shop get Corally stuff? HRP stocks Jack the Gripper or they can purchase it directly from CorallyUSA.

The niftech stuff is really good on foam carpet. I didn't see you mention if it was foam or rubber. With Niftech, you just put it on, and in 10 minutes it looks dry (no messaging it in, or wiping it off), but still bites. There is no messy compound soaked rags at day's end, and your hands aren't black stained.
