Default VBC GhostEvo

VBC released an update to the highly successful GHOST, what's the word on this new car?

Haven't seen much hype. The price has dropped and looks like they resolved some of the known issues from the previous car. Surprised no one is talking about this car.

I like it. i like the possibility of upgrades later. The upper bulkheads look like it may be possible to try the pro5 style camber links later. I also like how they have already offered a graphite upgrade kit. Now it would be nice to know if the upper bulkheads have the same bolt pattern as the 06/07 so that you could run lower towers and the TBB shocks if you wanted.

I just hope they post more than one set-up for this car. The original ghost had very little support.

I also hope the stock upper deck is stronger than the original ghost. I know (from experience) they could snap pretty easy. That was the first of many to my ghost that now pretty much is a ghost/06 hybrid.

With the price drop of the D07, wonder if it makes sense to go with just a D07 right off the bat or older D06 opposed to the Ghsot.

Luckily I have team drivers local to me and a lot of people run the VBC cars so setup isn't much of an issue.

Very, very nice. Price/equipment ratio has to be the best currently! People pretending the cost of RC racing is increasing really are out of their minds...

It is if you your an xray fan boy. Bless their hearts.

Looks good. Is that the carbon fiber upgrade kit installed on initial build? And what class are you running it in. I am hop in that this car has more support behind it than the ghost. Very little out there for set up advice especially in the class the car is targeted for... VTA.

Why does it seem these are so hard to get their hands on?

Not sure how I missed that. It's the upgrade to carbon worth the $60? Seems like it should be.

I'm still waiting for the carbon upgrade to be available. I can only speculate that it will help with two things. Added flex should provide grip on asphalt etc, and it should decrease the weight a significant amount.

I believe someone tried D06 shock towers on the Ghost EVO and it was a direct fit.

Really think I'm going to get one of these to give USGT a try. Xray is by far the most popular and I love my X1 except when I have to buy parts lol.

Worth the $60 for the carbon for carpet? I'm new to on road but I'd assume I don't want more flex...
