Sounds like you're still getting the masses sorted out with belts jhw, good man Are people having trouble getting front and side belts? I have found these pretty easy to get what with the re-release of the XX4...

Had a few months off from SW, but have got back to it and have almost got the car finished, spent a lot of time of wiring etc and it looks pretty clean so far! Just need to wire up the motor and LiPo's and get the shocks on, after that i'll post a couple of pics.

I will be racing it in the 10.5 class, here in the UK the weight limit has dropped to 1350g, i think the SW will come in a little heavy so i have been taking the dremel to a few places and will get a lightweight shell and spray it lightly - we'll see if that helps at all!!!

Depending on weather it should hopefully be hitting the track next Sunday!

rtherbe, did you put your SW up yet? If you still have it could you PM me with a price and maybe some more pics?

Glad to hear you're about up and running! Front and side belts are easy to find, but I really wanted to offer full sets to people for convenience sake. Oh well. It's been a while since I've run my weapon. Just bought a home so lots of work going into it. Also, planning for a lovely backyard track or two.

Anyone still running their weapon in races? I kinda wanna upgrade to Lipo power and run mine on a regular basis, but still tweaking and tuning. BTW.. more belts in stock, putting together full packs with middle and front belts, and expanded onto ebay. Lots of people still love the weapon!

Hi Josh,

Still not got the SW up and running, but the aim is to get it on the race track, i think it will go well, the layout should lend itself to a nice stable, balanced car - hopefully we will find out soon!

I have fitted a pack of Trackpower dark series 35c LiPo's in, and a brushless set up which looks good (the pics are n their way!), but the problem 'm having at the moment is getting the front to accept standard 12mm heves so that off the shelf tyres can be used. The rear can be changed easily, but the front have me stumped - does anyone know of any kits that will change the front to a standard hex size whilst still keeping the standard width??

I'll see if i can get some pics posted in a bit...

Thanks
Chris

I'm getting married in a few months so things have been tight with me. I haven't got a chance to get the weapon dialed back in. Though, I will say one thing, it is absolutely amazing that I have been sending these belts all over the world. I've probably sent out over 20 sets in the past year. So happy to see this platform continuing to get some use.

I have recieved belts from you and it kept me going for a while, untill i reversed into the gutter and broke the rear A arm where it pivots on the chassis. I also broke the chassis itself at the battery holder, so now it sits in a box with two new rear belts that have not been used yet.

If anyone needs a SW for parts let me know.

Cheers, Brett.

Brett,
I'm very sorry to hear about that again. It had been a while since I thought about it. You were unable to find parts for it?

Hey Josh!

I doubt i can get a replacement chassis for it, it has a large piece of the battery tray missing now. I reversed it into a gutter while bending over to pick it up, must have bumped the trigger. It was going so well!

Cheers, Brett.

Do you think you could convert it to a normal Weapon chassis or would you have to buy special components. If I remember correctly, it was the fiber chassis version with the carpet racing components right?

It is carbon fibre, not sure about the conversion.

I am concentrating on my HSP Tornado .21 MT at the moment, so no cash will go into anything else. It is a 4X4 with front and rear disc brakes, the engine is an O.S V-spec .21.

Can't wait to get it going!

I dug around and found that I've got a few new in package parts for the Street Weapon, but I don't have the car.

(2) LOSA3204 Rear Hi-Performance Rear Drive Belt Sedan (Blue)
(2) LOSA9738 SW - Graphite/Composite Front Suspension Arms
(1) LOSA2220 SW - Rear Arms Sedan
(2) LOSA1207 SW - Front Shock Tower Sedan

I'll pop these on the for sale section or on eBay.

Dibb's on the rear arms! If they fit.

Pretty Please.

A Street Weapon Lover, just ask Josh!

Cheers, Brett.

That you are! Now to just get you up and running again! I have several sets of belts in stock again, I expanded online for good, and bought up several spare parts to help out the tiny underground weapon community.

I ran last night to tune the car a bit more and it's getting a bit better in the corners. Took another two seconds off my lap times, but they still need to be about two seconds better overall. I'm starting slow to get it dialed in and pushing it just to see how the car reacts. Also, I highly recommend the XXX main touring car book. It's so straight forward and helped so much. Hopefully I'll knock a bit more off my lap times in the next two weeks so i can race! Anyone else got their car going again? It's tough to find time nowdays it seems.

Josh

Hi all! Hope everyone is having fun with their Street Weapons! I have sold a TON of belts so far this year to put many weapons back on the track. Now if I could just make time to put mine back on the track.
