Yeah I tried the locking diff thing. Not a fan! With the grey carpet I was on it was inconsistent and on full throttle I was fish tailing on some short straights. I could see how it could work on super high traction tho. At least I tried it.

Just read about locking the diff. Is that on black carpet? And how does it affect tire wear? I would assume it will wear a lot faster. Thanks

only works on ultra high grip crc black carpet.
we hear from friends in the UK ... it doesn't appear to work on their weekly racing surfaces.

wear... who knows. too many variables there. lap times are all that matter

Anyone running CRC Pro Cut Purple Spec tires? On the front axle do you all use shims on the inside? With the tires on the axle and lock it on there is still a few millimeters of play.

I ran the those tires on my car . I used shims to set track width and tighten the nut making sure wheel spun freely no excessive play noticed .

I run my front track width nearly as narrow as possible - just one very thin shim between the inside bearing and steering block. I find I can tighten the nut down to the point of inducing the bearings to bind and lock the front wheel. If you can't induce this binding you can add shims to the outside of the wheel between the outside wheel bearing and nut. This will take up the slop while not increasing your track width, which will impact the car's behavior.

The best races all day were F1, 1/12 (except Sam's check outs), and you had a nice 3 way battle for a while in F1. What's the story with the cars?

hi guys, i have a '17 US spec and struggling with the inside rear wheel lifting on hard 180's...honest, i don't know what to do

set up right now is: 20k CRC in tubes, CRC.50 sides spring, xenon .500 front, medium center spring on 40wt oil, droop of 1.3 rear and close to non up front. No front brace at front...tires at 40.5 front, 41 rear... ride height rear is 3.5 and front 3.2, turn radius of 4 feet for steering throw...

any inputs?
thanks

My setup sheets will be done sometime early this week. I'll post them here. I'm also going to be posting my Snowbirds setups, 13.5 specifically, as I think that will help more people out than Mod setups.

First things first, drop your tube dampening way down, to about 7-8K (or you can run a single tube with 15K). Close the rear droop up to .5-.75mm. Raise the front ride height to match rear @3.5. Make sure Rear track width is max 172. How much camber are you running?

Def go to 172 rear track width and 169 front. For the front just add .5mm behind each wheel on the axle.

Something I forgot to mention, go to Roche whites for side springs, turned down 2 turns.
