Post Which ESC of these is better? why?

Quantum sport OR IPC v.6 (SR)

I have both and just wondering which i should use for my race car and which for my backup. Any insight would be appreciated.

If your running stock the SR would be better. It was designed to give more punch for stock racing.

Only if your low on room.

The SR doesnt have replacable wires, personally I like the bigger LRP speedcontrols better.

Remember the quantum model you refer to is the sport and not the top end of that line. That alone should tell you something.

I cant remember all the specs, but the SR got a way better BEC, which means your steering servo is faster with the SR.

Actually, the servo is approx. 25% faster, due to the fact, the the Sport only deliver 5 volt, while the SR deliver 6 volt. Plus the SR got the amps when needed....

I'd go with the SR, it's a much better speedo than the Quantum Sport.

well, actually , I'm guessing its a SR. I really dont know what it is, the sticker says (V.6) and thats not on associated's site, but it looks just like the SR....so i figure thats what it is....well, i'm gonna give it a shot anyway.

if there are no "V6" or "SR" decals on the esc, the way to tell is that the SR has yellow and black stickers on the case while the V6 has yellow and silver.

OK its not an SR, its the V6. Before the V7.1 there was the V6, its also an excellent ESC.
