how come no one is saying anything about the parma alfa??? that is the best body ive used in my life for foam on carpet. i have a parma alfa and a protoform stratus 3.0 carpet. between the 2 i have found that the parma has alot more steering and it makes tha car feel much more nimble. the stratus 3 just feels sluggish. my only dislike is the weak lexan used by parma.

o and the parma body just looks awesome

Marshall:

Hi,

I think they are talking about rubber tires on carpet. not foams.

Has anyone tried the new Protoform G6 on carpet with foams? I've been unable to find out if it was used at all at the IIC in that thread. Most pictures I saw of foam cars had the Parma Alfa mounted, it seems.

I have to say I'm loving the Ride Honda Accord on ashphalt/rubbers tires. It feels more consistant than the Mazda 6 (Protoform) and seems to have more steering. Feels very planted and stable also.

Thumbs up to the Ride Accord

Speedo: This was my post a few days ago on the G6 thread:
G6 Bodies at IIC Post #168

I just got back from Vegas. What a phenominal event! But that's a whole story in itself.

I was very encouraged with the performance of the new G6 body. I really wasn't expecting too much in light of the problems (5 week late decals etc.) we encountered getting them out to shops and racers. Because of the magnitude and prestige of the International Indoor Champs, most racers obviously want to show up with a set-up and combination that's a "sure thing", and there simply wasn't much time to test.

In spite of the lack of testing time, the PROTOform G6 was the body Peter Robinson used to TQ in Stock-Foam, the largest class there! Andrew Grey also ended up with a podium finish using the G6. Barry Baker used one to get in the show and Walt Henderson just barely missed the A. Eric Anderson was positively "on fire" in the C and pretty much lapped the field with his awsomely painted G6.

It was the first time I actually saw the G6 on a track, so I was able to better get a feel for its future potential. I was able to talk to most of the racers who used it and I came away pretty darn excited. 90% of the comments were very positive. We are addressing the concerns of the other 10% with some minor mold "massaging".

I'd like to say a big thanks to all the guys who did run the body. I hope its at least a sign that there's "no grass growing between our toes" here at PROTOform.

Cool. Thanks for letting us know Dale. Are the mold changes going to be a running change, or will they become a different version of the G6? When do you expect the changes to take effect?

Thanks,
Josh

Red face Mold Massage

Josh: It'll be a running change. The mold will be pulled from production and slightly altered in a single afternoon. It'll be hard to detect visually. It will happen in the next 5 or 6 workdays.
Thanks for the interest.

daleepp - Is there any plan to introduce a 200mm G6? Where can I get a full listing of protoform bodies? I was pretty sure you guys make more than 9 TC bodies. Thats all I find here. http://www.pro-lineracing.com/protoform.html

Are all of the protoform bodies on the roar approval list still in production?

rivbluenoma: There will not be a 200mm or an "AP" version of the G6. A full explanation of this can be found on the "New Pf G6" thead here on RC Tech.
The bodies listed on our web site are the only bodies currently available. Most of them are ROAR legal.

Rob Phillips: didn't mean to hi-jack your thread. Sorry.

Default Protoform v. Proline

I just visited your site and I noticed that you still separate "Proline" and "Protoform" bodies. What is the significance of the names?
