Default HPI Pro Kit Restoration

Hi guys. I was wonderin' if the old HPI Pro share any parts with its newer counterparts. I took a look @ mine and I was shocked by rust! lots of rust on the shafts. Parts for this old car are hard to find..

a bit of emery cloth should get the rust off....you could try parts like driveshafts etc from the pro2..they MAY fit, not 100% definate though.

Isn't the Pro2 just an updated Pro? Don't they have like 95% compatibility?-Josh

I would'nt say the Pro2 is an updated Pro, the belts are totally different lenght and so are the suspension arms, chassis, and 80% of the parts, the only parts they share are the diffs assy and some small parts.

The Pro however IS an updated version of the original HPI RS4.
....and boy is the RS4 Pro light ! I believe it is one of the lightest if not the lightest Touring Cars ever to come out of a box.

I was thinking about trading my paintball gun for a HPI Pro 2. All it needs is the pulley shaft, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. You guys have any idea as to where I could find it, or if I should even trade my gun for it? The paintball gun is just a Spyder Xtra Super Kit, nothing special.
