Holy cow! I've never seen anything like it! I think you should be every companies' "damage and destroy" specialist. You could just blow ESC's up all day! But on a more serious note: Just send it in, and tell them they need higher flow connectors, because 95% of the time, anything included stock sucks. But good luck with your next ESC!

Thanks a lot for all the help guys. I am pretty sure we have figured out what happened. First off I kinda got my facts wrong he ran the car for about 20 min and then he was done for the night. This morning he ran the truck for about 5 min and it fried. So cool down was not an issue. The pos and neg wires shorted out because they where to close together and they where also zipped tied from the factory VERY tight together. He is just going to buy a new NO limits ESC and then send the stock one back to LOSi to try and get it fixed.

The worst thing about this is the dang SMELLL. OMG this thing stinks lol

And burning plastic isn't good for you, either, so I hope you guys didn't inhale too much of it. To everyone- DON'T breathe in burning plastic. It's TOXIC!

I think you had the positives and negatives the wrong way. The XRS can't handle anything more then a 17t even though Novak claims the 15t limit.

Default fried esc

I just fried my esc by connecting the batt wires backwards. Is there such a thing as reverse polarity protection in a speed controll? I can be rather unattentive at teh most important times and would hate to do this again.
