Bulletproof 1/10 touring rubber rims?
Hi
I need rims that can take a hit so that i can really grind out the laps. I do not care too much about the weight. Just that they are bulletproof and fits sorex rubber.
Ive tried HPI spoked rims and the TE37 rims are soft enought to really take a hit, perhaps too soft for carpet. (Only but black or white the crome flakes off) But i can recommend them on durability grounds. They also come in different offsets so thats nice if you run Tamiya or other narrow WB cars. But they are not perfect fit with the sorex i feel. Needs someone with a slightly bigger dia perhaps.
Possible relevant info: No offset prefered, carpet racing, schumacher car and a Torquey 4P motor. Sorex 20R, 24R and 28R
Edit: These any good? http://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/3751

I'm trying to think if I've seen a cracked Sweep Nautral rim... I don't think I have for the ~2 years they've been out. I know I haven't personally broken any. Serrated wheel nuts will start to dig in and lose effectiveness on the feont after a while, though. Not positive if they fit Sorex though.
The Yokomo wheels seem pretty strong, and they do fit Sorex. Don't know part #s, unfortunately.

Not trying to sound like a smart ass. But the fastest people in R/C aren't to concerned about the rims. Their more concerned about set up and driving to their ability. Only poor driving break rims. It's sounds like you might need to slow your car down and learn how to round corners at the apex of turns. I didn't like hearing this phrase when I first started, "Slow is fast". But when your just starting out or breaking parts a lot. You should really analyze your driving. If you are one of the few braking rims. It's probably your fault.

A superwide front bumper is crucial when learning to wheel Rc cars for the first time... With practice, you'll be able to avoid the walls....

On topic: Schumacher Revlite rims are very flexible and very hard to break

nitro_cortex Thank you. Will try a set
Ive had a pair of sweep and black speedminds once.. they crumbled in the hex so fast i was wondering wtf is this bs.. never in my life seen that before. And trust me i bashed that poor Wild dagger (my first car) and the first TL-01 so SO hard! as a teenager. And i got the pics to prove it!
Today was 173 Laps and 46min laptime total. idk if it actually is alot but for me it sounds alot. Is it?
With the new car i expect that to go up significantly.

My old Sweep and Jacob tires did have cracked hexes, but the new qts 32 sweeps have not cracked at all and the new rim looks a little transparent compared to the old white ones...
