HPI rubber tyres + HPI inserts
Guys have you tried these are they any good when you compare them to others ?
Thanks for looking |
I run on carpet. I have tried several HPI compounds, and several inserts and they have been decent quality and traction but no real advantage to buying pre glued RP30's which I prefer. Actually, I liked the CS27's more than my combo's with HPI stuff. The inserts and tires are high quality, but nobody carries them locally, more work for no advantage.

I run a couple of hpi super slicks and sorex slicks. I think sorex have a little more traction but hpi last longer. (no matter of compound) By the way, I run on asphalt only. How many runs are you using slick tyres?

I am new into electric and we are HPI dealers so i wanted to know what they offer next to Take Off and Sorex .

Hi Speed6,
Knowing that most probably you will be using these tyres at our local track at Pembroke ;) I suggest you stick either take-off cs22s or Sorex 28r or even 24r if you have loads of cash to burn :) . These are the only tyres that will work if you are after top performance. CS 22s will give u 3 good runs in a row with very constant lap times. Sorex 28r's will give you a blinding first run and then start to taper off as regards to grip. I have tried out numerous tyre combinations including HPI tyres and Inserts but nothing will perform as well as the tyres mentioned above. If you need any help feel free to contact me via email or pm me on this thread. Bye for now hope to see you at the track....Gustav :sneaky: |
Traxxas makes some really cool tread designs, you guys should check them out!
