Default First Look at Trinity D4 Prototype, looks epic!

This link is to an ebay auction which has decent pictures of what the seller claims is a Trinity D4.

The tech of the thing looks awesome, I am not selling it and not recommending anybody make a bid (its like 500 bucks, jesus christ!) but the thing looks great. Hopefully it performs as expected. It certainly looks like it was made for cooling fans!

Don't see how the tech of it looks awesome. Nifty can and I like the soldering tabs, but doesn't tell us much. Additional thread below.

I already had a D4 in the 90's man. Bring back the crinkle finish!

As long as they don't use the "factory applied timing decal" it's all good

Why would anyone pay that much for a stock motor? So what if it is the first or second, or whatever...Just wait a few months when they get released and you can get them for the normal price of a stock motor.

Plus, if you read the description its worded such that the D4 will even be different than the one pictured.

I only see it pointless for the average racer who can't even use it.

But $500 is chump change for a motor competitor to get first hands on it and see what designs or improvements were done to it. There is always reverse engineering going on.

Whether this preproduction was a dud or actually a fast motor, who knows.

I'd be ok with the high price if they were donating it to charity.
