Default Bearing and Bushing lube/oil

Bearing lube - Marvel Mystery oil or... Cheetah Slot car oil!? For 1/10th Scale Suspension car (Traxxas Bandit, or Slash type chassis). Wondering for wheel bearings, transmission bearings, brush motor bushings (Stock classes)... and for Transmission gears as well!? Racing on Carpet and Parking lot - Hobby Stock Bandit class and LCG Late Model Slash on-road.

If this is posted in wrong place - please advise. I do not care where on the site if resides - move it or tell me where to move it to - I just want to ask the question - so it gets a few replies!

"Superlube", it's a Teflon based oil. I discovered it for industrial applications and tried it on my mountain bike chain. Instantly quieted the chain and pedaled smoother.

Years later racing TCS Silvercans, tried it and the motor picked up 500-600 RPM. Been using it eversince.

I used marvel mystery oil for years, cant remember the name but liked a bicycle chain oil that smelled like bananas too.

Now I just use the 1UP bearing oil because Randy is the best snake oil salesmen on the internet.

I’m a believer in different oil for different applications. For 1/10 and larger wheel bearings some automotive oil is great. For maximum free spinning 1/12 bearings Genesis RC bearing oil is amazing. Super thin, super slippery. To the point it can make the clamping hub slip if you let it run all over.

SHAG Oil from Rotor Ron or Slip from Avid RC are both very, very good for ball bearings. For all other metal applications, especially cvd's, I use a product called Ship 2 Shore. It's a PLID, penetrant, lubricant, inhibitor, and dielectric. It doesn't attract dirt, and it's an unbelievable product designed for harsh environments but works great on my rc stuff. It comes out of Canada but the are some US sources.

Clean your bearings from all oil and grease and then use DryFluid.

Dryfluid might be a good concept but there are still too many bearings out there using caged designs: only ADB bearings with dryfluid will make a big difference...

Use 50/50 mix of WD40 and Mobile 1.

Usually 2-3 drops depensing on bearing size.
Been doing this over 20 years.
