What fans are you guys using, where are you getting them, and how are you powering them up? (pics of setups are cool especially on Mi2s.)

I use the Associated dual fans on my FK05, they plug directly into the reciever for power.

See the thread entitled Cool-Can-Fan website now up an running or www.coolcanfan.com . Cost a lot but well worth the money for an exact and strong c/f mounting bracket and either 1 or 2 fans for many different cars including the Mi2

What do you do to power a personal transponder and fan at once?

you can ujse a Y-lead..you can plug both into the reciever then....

not sure about ROAR etc but the BRCA state that you cannot have anything else plugged into your reciever other than esc, servo anda PT so it must be soldered directly to the battery wires.

can't you plug the fan into the 3rd channel spot on your receiver? 1&2 esc, servo, 3 fan 4or batt for personal transponder.

You can wire in a switch and soilder it directly to your speed control. That way you can leave the fan on after a race to cool down the motor. Once you are done marshalling your motor is cool to the touch.

Yes, you can plug the fan or the transponder into either the 3rd channel or the BEC circuit on your reciever. I have a spektrum reciever and it works just fine Channel #1 and 2 steering and throttle, #3 are the fans, and #4 is the transponder.
