VBC WILDFIRE D07

I am looking at getting a new touring car soon and I am considering getting this car. I ran the ARC 2013 last season, never really could get the corner speed up that I needed with it. Is this a problem with the DO7? Also, does this car have short shocks like an ARC 2013 or XRay?

Nice run John. Looks like the car was fast and consistent. Your fastest 20 laps were .1-.3 seconds of each other.
Finally got to run my D07 on Saturday.
I was almost upset with it. It blew my 2015 T4 out of the water with almost kit setup.
This thing is fast.
The F05 front mount is what worked for me also.

Yes it came, it got held up at US Customs in San Francisco. I don't know why but every time I order something and USPS sends it to San Fran it sits for a week. When USPS send it to LAX it moves out of the country in hours.
I just finished assembling it last night just need to finish install the electronics tonight. I really like this car, the fit and finish is right up there with cars costing way more. The D06 was great but this is better. Going to throw a BD7 motor mount in my SmokemD06 and run it in mod.

The D07 also has short shocks. They are the same ones form the D06, but not quite as short as the Xray shocks.

So are the Yokomo springs listed on your set up sheet the long versions for the BD7 2015? Thank you.

Yea, its the standard Yokomo springs. Don't automatically think you need yokomo springs to be fast though. The kit VBC springs are actually very good. I use VBC springs in lower traction conditions as I feel they give more initial bite and response, but increase stability through the majority fo the corner. Yokomo springs feel mushy at first, then make the car rotate really hard... which can be a little weird for some people.
Look here on how to modify your shocks to allow longer springs to fit properly:
http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/vbcr...gModification/
The aluminum spring cups (TBB or older non TBB style) allow the sprin gto sit a little lower. This in combination of trimming the shock end lowers the spring enough so that you can get to a 4.5-5.0mm ride height.
You will need to space the shocks away from the car by putting 2mm spacers between the arm/shock towers and the shocks.
Hope this helps .

I have a pair of EMR Factory 0.5 degree rear uprights I am looking to sell if anyone is interested. These will work on both the D06 and the D07.

I am almost through building my kit and have stumbled across a few items. Has anyone else encountered any slop after assembling the zero tolerance pulley? If so, any suggestions? Also, I noticed that there might have been a miscount of 3x8 button head screws when they put everything together in my kit. Anyone run across something like this? This is my first high end kit so I just want to make sure I do it all right! Thanks

Is it me or does the drivetrain feel like it has a lot less drag on it. Same electronics that were in the D06 same settings but when i let off it seems to spin longer on the bench. Belts are way looser on the D06 too.
