Default numbers

I just picked up a Integy 16x7 and am seeing you guys post some final numbers when charging your 3300's.

I'm wondering about final voltage numbers. Am I to assume that when the battery finally peaks that the voltage reading my charger gives me...that a higher final voltage is best? I know that with mah my runtime is increased.

What are great final numbers on a GP3300 6 cell pack and what would be crummy numbers?

Hi,

LOWER final numbers are best. this number reflects internal voltage. less than 1.5v / cell is great 1.5 - 1.53v is good. i would be dubious about anything over 1.55.

If you equalize your cells well you should easily get 3900mah into 3300's. With the last sets of 3300's I had I was getting 4300Mah into them but they do need to be well equalised.

doesnt the final voltage depend on what charge rate u r charging at?

Yes it does change the numbers a little but most people charge at 5 or 6 amps and the numbers won't change too much at those charge rates. Try it and see what the difference is.

If you are considering the ICE, get the Supernova Competition instead, it's a better charger.. firmware is almost identical, but the supernova has a few more features (20A discharge, backlit screen, etc)...

I find the controls on the supernova way easier to work with than the jog-dial on the ICE (which is easy to fumble settings with)...

I've used both, and own the supernova comp
It's probably a few dollars more, and comes with the temp sensor.

If yuo get what more people at the track are using, you can at least see what they are getting for results instead of taking a $200 experiment and ebaying it.
