Default HPI Sprint 2 throttle drops w/ Savox 1257TG, HELP!

Hello everyone

I just installed a Savox 1257TG with Spektrum SPM1600 connected to channel 3 of my Sprint 2 Drift receiver. I notice that whenever I make lots of movement to the steering the throttle would stop for half a second even tho I was going full throttle.

All my electronics are stock except the servo, do I need a BEC? or it's the stock ESC not holding up?

Please help so I can get back on drifting!
Thanks in advance!!!

Savox are known for heavy current draw.

Spectrum are known to have troubles with high current draw.

Its a common problem.

One possible solution is to fit the extra external receiver capacitor that Spectrum sell.

My personal view is that it is a risky combo and I wouldn't choose to put either brand in my cars.
