What you found on Google is right. The red neck comes from working on the fields (mostly cotton) in the hot southern sun.

Usually nice, down to earth people, just a bit behind time.

You gotta be careful though when you meet somebody who calls himself a Redneck

If I had an intensive traing on stereotyping, then it was in the Bible Belt.

I did NOT stereotype all americans as rednecks, I mentioned it to Danny, who was/is living in VA, and to SouthernFried {sorry EddieO}, who's the master of stereotyping Europeans, living in Tennessee, of all places.

Hey, don't worry about the Nazi. My kids got called Nazis in first grade, whenever they got into kids fights.
It didn't matter that they were both born in the US and are therefore US citizens, they got stereotyped for where there parents came from.

So, we are used to it coming from Americans and it doesn't hurt no more.

Please. Please. Can we talk batteries.

Anders. I see you are here now.

Tried your suggestions yesterday, and yes, you are right. Same lap times on lap 19 as on lap 2.

thanks.

This thread is mildly entertaining...I'm tuning in.

Seriously, the latest batch (with the newest date codes) of IB 3800s are off the hook:

We're getting some cells that look like:
475+, 1.22V, 1.6AIR

I kid you not.

Obviously, that's not all the cells, but we've nailed down a pretty good method for getting a ton of cells in the 1.20+V range.

Gotta agree too that for stock and 19T you do need to consider your gearing and motor setups a little more carefully. The motors do run hotter, so you need to compensate. Anyway, I'm super pleased with the job Intellect is doing on improving the cell chemistry. The cells are becoming more and more durable with each subsequent date code. We're carrying GPs, but they're not selling the way the IBs are.

Wooww, 1.6 IR. Very punchy indeed. The lowest I got from my 3800s is 1.9. .

Umm, get it straight....I didn't say a word about europeans....so not sure where you come off on accusing me of it..

You are obiviously clueless, as I live in WASHINGTON STATE.....

I simply said, the europeans and asians did not dominate the event, they won 2 of 8 classes...

Technically, Eddie is right. They did not _dominate_ the event.

Besides, Blackstock and Cyrul's main in 1/12 modified was the race of the event. That was freakin' bananas to watch. Loved every minute of it (8 to be exact).

[Hey, Bill. Long time--no see.]

So true...

Dumas was hurtin' in that department. Marc would make big gains in the HP sections of the track, Mike would catch up in the tighter stuff.

so where would an 'average' (ie non-sponsored, non-connected) consumer find these 475+ 1.22v 1.6ir cells for sale?

You all do know, that this was Marc's very first race on foam tires, right?

Ummm...that would be by calling eXpress @ (201) 232-9006 or shooting me a PM on RCTech and we can hand-pick cells for ya. Ask and ye shall receive.

I know this is a bit of a rant, but the whole 'I'm not sponsored therefore I don't win or get good' stuff is getting old for me. I just put together two packs for a local driver who is definitely a 'sportsman' driver (sorry, Chris) and they're both 1.20+ packs. He paid for 'em, so he's gonna get 'em. We don't horde cells underneath a floorboard in our office like some sort of battery trolls.

Tag's built motors for kids who have basically crashed from wall to wall down the straight and they're pulling bigger dyno #s than I have in my motor cases at a Regional. Seriously...

I can't stress how much it is having your i's dotted and your t's crossed. Motor, battery, chassis, driver makes up 90%, but it's those other little intangibles that make the last 10%.

(Haven't we had this discussion like 10 times on Tech before?)
